About the position

Perido is looking for several system developers for an authority with an important social mission. The authority is in the midst of a major technical transformation – from heavy and complex architecture to a more flexible, scalable, and event-driven environment. At the new office in Linköping, a strong development team is being built from the ground up, allowing you to shape how the work will look moving forward. You will be an important part of the platform team and work closely with development, operations, management, and support.

The position is based at the authority's office in Linköping, with the possibility of working from home a couple of days a week. For the first 6 months, you will be employed as a consultant through Perido, after which the ambition is to be permanently employed by the authority.

As a system developer, you will among other things:

• Develop tools, techniques, and frameworks in Java that simplify and streamline the daily work of development teams
• Create technical prerequisites for continuous delivery
• Test your own and others' code as a natural part of the system development process
• Maintain close contact and collaboration with the team's target groups, management, and operations and support organizations

Qualifications:

• Higher education in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years of professional experience in system development
• Programming skills, preferably in Java or similar languages
• Good communication skills and very good knowledge of Swedish and English
• As the position will be classified, Swedish citizenship is required. A security screening with a background check will be conducted before employment.

Meritorious:

• Experience with loosely coupled architecture and event streaming (e.g., Kafka)
• Experience with microservices and platform products
• Experience with container platforms (Kubernetes/Docker)
• Knowledge in DevOps, CI/CD, and agile methods

Scope and start date

Full-time, initial consultancy assignment for 6 months through Perido, after which the ambition is to be permanently employed by the client. Start date according to agreement.
